The older beds with varying sizes of mattresses brought by the students can also be seen. Mahen is demonstrating to the students how to make their beds, and they are eagerly observing the procedure. According to the Headmaster 300 Steel Bunk Beds are required at a cost of Rs.7500/- per bed aggregating to Rs.2,250,000/-. The former Headmaster Mr. Canagasabey was keen to have new Steel Bunk Beds too, and the cost he envisaged according to his Report tabled at the 46 th AGM of the STCG OBA on Feb 25th 2006 was approximately Rs.2750/- per bed.We understand the price of steel has almost trebled.
