1. The Fellowship Dinner of the STCG OBA was held at the Empire Ballroom, Mt.Lavinia Hotel on October 17,2008. Rajiv was the Band in Attendance. Mahen Ranasinghe Senior Vice President, acted as Compere and Master of Ceremonies. About 275 participated in the event. The Special Invitees who attended were the Headmaster Rev.Marc Billimoria, Mr.Yohesan Casie Chetty Headmaster St.Thomas Preparatory School, Kollupitiya and his wife.

2. Mr.Mahen Ranasinghe welcomed all those present with a special Thank You to the Distinguished Guests. He thanked members of the Ex-Co and other Old Boys who helped make the event a success. He also thanked the Donors who had given Gifts, the Sponsors, and also those who had contributed by way of advertising through banners etc.,

3. The Headmaster addressing the Guests present remarked that the numbers present was a true representation of Thomian Traditions and reminded all that Guru was alive and well. He wished all those present an enjoyable evening.

4. Further entertainment was provided by the Chandana Wickremasinghe Dance Troupe who gave 04 items of Oriental Dancing with plenty of flamboyance.

5. There was a Entrance Ticket Draw and also a Table Draw. Pride of place was given to the very Senior Pioneer and Founder Old Boys in drawing the Winners. They were Mr.P S Duleepkumar, Mr.Navaz Cafoor, Mr.Sisira Nanayakkara and Mr.Bandu Wanigasekera. The Headmaster drew the First Prize. Midaya Ceramics donated many gifts for the winners of the two draws.

6. Mr.Gerald De Alwis was at the entrance to the hall with his family to further his solo effort in reviving the Turf Wicket at Gurutalawa by selling tickets for a Sing a long at BMICH.

7. S Kaviharan Old Boy and Master- in -Charge of IT at Gurutalawa had been detailed to sell special Glossy Book Marks turned out by the College depicting the unique pictorial sites at Gurutalawa.
